Dr. Tyrone A. Holmes, Ed.D, CPT, is a professional speaker, coach and author. He is certified as a personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise, as a Level 1 (Elite) coach through USA Cycling and as a TrainingPeaks Level 2 Certified Coach. He is also a competitive cyclist who rides thousands of miles every year and competes in dozens of races and events from 3 to 100 miles in length. Through his seminars, webinars, publications and coaching activities, Dr. Holmes helps his clients improve health, fitness and athletic performance, and enhance their quality of life. His signature speaking programs include Healthy Living for Busy Professionals, The 10 Commandments of Fitness, and Health, Fitness and Job Performance. He also facilitates clinics for athletes such as Increasing Power on the Bike, High Cadence Training for Cyclists and Triathletes and Achieving Your Ideal Performance Weight. Dr. Holmes published his first book, Training and Coaching the Competitive Cyclist, in 2010. His second book, Developing Training Plans for Cyclists and Triathletes, was published in 2011. His most recent health and fitness book, The Business of Training and Coaching, was released in January 2014. Dr. Holmes is the Club Coach for White Mountain Road Club in Arizona.
